I have enough money to last me the rest of my life, unless I buy something.

"The main ingredient for this goal is self discipline. That itself is a goal in itself. So the steps to get there, firstly is to be consistent with meditation. Secondly override behavior! "

"So, we're now into Week 2 of Total Lock-down which has the advantage of meaning we can't go out except to exercise once a day and go shopping for essentials. I have a £10 note in my purse that I took out of the ATM at the beginning of March. I suspect it will still be there on the 1st July (this is your realistic head speaking...maybe even longer!). Last week my report included my family's life issues, which, actually, turned out to be a Storm in a Teacup as a result of massive over-reaction on everyone's part. What about me? Well, financially, I'm currently in a strong position EXCEPT that, as from Wednesday, I will be on "long-term" holiday until the crisis blows over. I had a call from Dave on Friday explaining that, with Italy in the shape it's in, Olivetti sent our last delivery of machines and consumables last week. We have to keep the warehouse open to supply dealers who have NHS, government and essential operations customers. However, he has enough funds to keep 2 people on full-time but he's going to take advantage of the Government's offer to pay salaries at 80% to any non-essential company who lays staff off temporarily. I, along with 5 others, are being temporarily laid-off. Funnily enough, I'm not distraught by this. I still get paid for doing nothing and, in all honesty, apart from it's Terry's birthday on the 7th April and my car being due for a service, MOT and tax in April/May, I have nothing else to spend my money on. My Credit Card bill for March was amazingly puny - in fact I was shocked to realise that I have spent a tiny fraction using my Card in March. I also had payment from Karen and Nick Fisher for the work I've done for them, so that helps too. I also have the PPI payment to fall back on if I need it (although I did have to pay a fee to the company who arranged it all). I told SES that they could pay me in May if they were struggling - so I may or may not get that in April or May......I can live with out that for now. Well, let's see if I'm still saying this in August..... Here are the scores for the week: 1) Current Account in Credit in its Own Right: A+, 2) No Remorseful/Frivolous/Wasteful Spend: A+, 3) People Owing Me Money: B Therefore, I award myself with the following Grade: A"
