As I end this year and begin a new chapter, I feel certain that filling in this Stickk report each week helps me to manage my finances better.
All my clients have paid to date - of those I’ve invoiced - and I’m in good shape heading into 2024. I think, overall, with everything considered, I shall award myself a cumulative score for the year of 100% Grade A to cover all the parts of my Stickk commitment. |

Christmas spending finally came to an end the day before Christmas Eve and I think it’s fair to say I was pleased to have got everything I needed and wrapped so there was nothing to do on Christmas Eve.
Clients payments were a dishevelled because of the bank holidays but I understand that and it’s out of my control.
Here are the scores for the past week (70% to pass):
1) Current Account in Credit in its Own Right: 100% (A)
2) Keep Remorseful / Frivolous / Wasteful Spend to a Minimum: 90% (A)
3) Full Payment by Customers / Family / Band*: 80% (B-)
(*This is where I've sent an invoice/asked for payment)
Therefore, I award myself the following Score/Grade: 90% (B) |

Christmas has been its usual pricey self but I’m now mostly ready – just need to sort out Boxing Day and a card for Terry.
I have spent little pockets of amounts on myself, but they are small and can easily be sent back if necessary.
I’ve invoiced most customers for November now – I just have one or two left to go. No-one has paid me yet, which I guess is normal. I have some meetings in the pipeline for the New Year, so if I can get those organised I should start to feel a bit more secure – although anything can change, as I’ve seen with PCL Direct who now only want me for 1 day a month from January – that’s gone from £1000 per month to £250 per month but I am learning not to let it all get to me. Equipment Rentals has also told me to stop work on the Google Ads and website so that leaves me with nothing to do for him – although he did ask me to do a n email marketing campaign for him this week, so who knows how his mind works (it’s always been a worry).

Well, I need to rein myself in on so many levels. Firstly, I got completely flattened at the Awards do last week with only 2 of the 13 shortlisted dealers winning awards – I was so gutted! Actually, I made a complete idiot of myself by being a bit teary – what an idiot!
Sally Locke’s funeral was yesterday – hence why I’m a day late with my report – which was emotional but lovely as I got to spend time with the Ferrar family, everyone made me feel so welcome and I feel I now have a much better relationship with Tony. When I go home, I had a letter from the NHS saying I’m borderline pre-diabetes2 after my visit to the nurse last week (where they finally extracted some blood out of me after 2 failed attempts). Although it doesn’t mean I don’t actually have type 2 diabetes my blood sugar tested as high, so I need to do more exercise and drink more water and, perhaps, be a little more careful not to binge on wine.
It's coming up to Christmas and, as usual I’m on a big spend binge. Terry kindly contributed to presents so it’s not such a hard hit. I’ve almost finished present buying now, so, hopefully, I can stop spending willy-nilly. I haven’t over-spent yet and I can’t really say I’m being frivolous, so I’m ok with this month.
I do need to invoice my customers though.
