Healthy, Fit & Slim! Star this Commitment
Day 89 of 89

RosyB commits to:
To following a keto way of eating for weight loss, by tracking what I eat and drink daily, weighing myself weekly. My starting weight on Dec. 28, '20 was 182.2 lbs. My ultimate goal weight is 155 lbs, though I don't need to reach that goal by the end of this commitment. By the end of this commitment, I hope to have lost between 13-20 lbs. Let's do this!

Forgot to update here, but I am very happy to report that on the last weigh-in day, Wed 17th Feb, the scale showed 169.2!! I am ecstatic that the needle has moved below 170, something that hasn't happened in MANY years. I can also report that I have already met my top-end goal weight for this commitment! If I can lose another 7 lbs by March 31st, I will have met my low-end goal, and will weigh in at 162.2. There are fewer than 7 weeks left to this commitment, but if I can lose an average of 1lb/wk, I will meet that goal.

A reminder to myself of what has worked in the past:

-Drink lots of water: 5-6 bottles (i.e. 10-12 cups) seems to be the sweet spot of staying hydrated, managing hunger, and not having my bladder and body go all spastic. Test this out today. :)

-Vary days of 20/4 IF and 16/8, along with days of calorie deficits and days of eating at maintenance. This should keep my body on its toes, and stop it from holding onto weight.

In general, my eating window should end by 8pm, such that on 20/4 days I break my fast at 4pm and on 16/8 days at 12pm. When I get my protein powder delivered, think of breaking my fast with protein shakes, or cottage cheese with nuts and a few berries. In any case, make sure to have enough protein and track everything.

Despite how I may feel --sometimes frustrated that the weight isn't melting off quite fast enough-- I am actually doing really well. In fact, I am kind of killing it! Keep it up, girl!

That's it for now, I think.

Great! WI today is 171.2, so 0.4 of a pound lost since yesterday. This is great progress, even if I don't anticipate that the needle will always move downwards. Today I broke my fast early, after 14.5 hours, and will eat when I'm hungry, with the intention of starting my next fast at 7pm and breaking it only after 20 hours tomorrow. This seems to be working, for now, and let's ride it out!

I couldn't believe my eyes today: the scale read 171.6 lbs! OMG, I have not seen below 172 is years! This is restoring faith in my ability to meet my goal for this commitment. Yes! Seems my new strategy is working, at least for now. Did 20/4 IF yesterday, planning to do it again today, and probably eating when hungry within an 8 hour window tomorrow. Let's see how this goes!

Yay! I've got thiiiiiiiis!
