Commitment 1 is now done! In 6 weeks, I missed 3 workouts of a total 30. Those missed workouts cost me $30 and let me see clearly how much NOT exercising negatively affects my energy and mobility, right away. While failure isn't good, I did learn something quite important from that week (week 4): I became demotivated after the first weeks gains receded, and upon reflection I realized that the lost gains was related to being back at work and not moving throughout the day. Since then, I started stretching and integrating indoor itty-bitty walks throughout the day on breaks, and immediately saw an improvement. Today's two outdoor itty-bitty walks were proof that my new habits have paid off. Yay for learning!
Now I'm planning for Commitment #2. I'll keep the stakes and rewards the same, and I've decided to roll Commitment #1's 'winnings' into Commitment #2. I haven't 100% decided on this, only 80% decided, but I may keep adding up 6-week commitments and their monetary gains for a potential total of roughly $3700, including the earned $370 from Commitment 1, to be used for my honeymoon next summer! Physical gains and dollars both toward a fantastic reward!
Wish me luck for Commitment 2. Stay tuned for the deets. :) |

Yesterday was Rest Day 2/2 for this last week of the current commitment. |

Yesterday, April 25th, was the 1st of 2 rest days for Week 6. Almost done my commitment! Week 6 will be another great one, I know. I am already thinking about my next commitment! Perhaps with a greater focus on releasing and stretching to stay loose and limber while increasing strength, perhaps adding some cardio (bike), perhaps walking exercises... Maybe I'll vary my daily regimen so as to fit in these various goals. TBC... |

Yesterday, I saw at least one significant improvement: my LS side-extension was better/higher, and led me to feeling new muscles working. Yay! |
