Just completed the last interview... Sadly, it ends on a sour note. I put too much weight on the conditionals, I think, along with the fact that the claim was quite scientific (on the non-existence of graviton). However, the espitemology definitely turned around some link between "existence", "definition" and "truth" that wasn't as intuitive as it would be for me, and it somehow casted out all possible conditionals. For example, "truth is something that never changes". I'm suddenly realising that introducing the concept of "reality" would've been more interesting. But I definitely have to study more and master the "truth test" thing for once.
(Maybe doing SE at midnight isn't the best thing to go for, also)
I had two more talks during the week-end, IRL, however both of the IL preferred me not to tell it to other people as they shared something quite personal (something I proposed myself, which they accepted). Both were quite good yet not entirely satisfactory. I'm feeling a bit sleepy right now so I feel I'm going to end my post here.

I had a discussion on governing systems two days before, I had a discussion on gender yesterday, and one on reincarnation today. I also started to use the "reflexion" sheets proposed on the website.
The one on gender was really good, it was cool to analyse definitions rather than complex empirical or faith-based beliefs. I can't think how I would have held such a conversation more than two years ago... it makes me feel almost shameful x) I've tried to come up with a "truth test" that would be best fitted for 'truth' as in "truth of a definition". The problem was that the terms "objective" and "subjective" seem intuitively inapropriate in this context. I also tried to explore the belief on the acceptability of a definition, it opened up many questions I've never observed. It's also these kinds of topics in which I don't refrain anyting when it comes to be open to new ideas (while for other I definitely need to fight against my "messenger").
Concerning the belief on reincarnation, the IL mentionned spiritism, and matching visible traits or reported memories with an actual identity as way to verify it is true. I have yet to find a way to elicit productive counter-examples from the IL himself. Every time I applied a version of the OTF, the IL would respond by giving only the positive examples, such as near-death experiences-which is actually normal in the sense that his method didn't really support contradictive alternatives he was aware of. I feel like I lectured him when I proposed to imagine an experimental set-up.
Governing methods, now ! Extremely interesting, proud of my admitting my unread library effect although I wanted to throw stuff in -yet, I shall remember, I actually don't really know anything about this. The beginning of the conversation was on "full democracy is worse than democracy", but I settled it on "Constitutional monarchy is better than democracy", as it was more interesting. The word "better" got my attention after some time, and I reoriented the conversation toward it. The foundational belief turned out to be quite distant from what I imagine : it was that a country with a goal works better than a country without, and somehow constitutional monarchy, by restraining voters and eligible persons, outweighs democracy in performing good leader-selection tasks. The latter argument was on a mathematical basis, I tried to discuss formalisation but I definitely didn't have the tools in hand. The argument still is quite good !
Reincarnation was a long-lasting one, five hours, my boy ! If I haven't transitioned from "noob" to "newbie" I'm willing to chop my hand off... It also shows how vocal SE conversations may be as productive in a way shorter time.
Concerning my practice, I've moved away from HTHIC. I think I'm going to focus on SE (basics, online guide and eventually AMFCA) for this week and transition to HTHIC the one after. I'll be less "under pressure", and it looks like HTHIC is more for wilder, politics-oriented discussion than SE (in an environment dedicated to it).

In my defense -and that is intended to sir the referee on the right- I had a talk yesterday but had to interrupt it -I was too worn out, I had filmed a video out in Paris for my acting class and it was amidst of an XR protest, I had to walk a lot, and swam accross a whole article on bayesian comparative statistics as a means of explaining the conjunction fallacy x) Today however I had a really substantive talk with a believer on Discord. I feel like I didn't stick exactly to the basics. There was the argument from experience, and I think I could have benefited from going further than "if we had an other way of explaining this". I really wonder how a "Why God and not Vishnu"-type of question could have influenced the talk -but as offered by T.G.P, I avoided counter-examples, and simply delimited the "would affect belief" perimeter. We finally settled on a (kind of ? eventual ? possible ?) aporia, on the distinction between "looking like" and "mistaking", which seems clear when it comes to visual illusion, and less when it comes to the specific perception which caused the intuition of God in the IL.
By the way, the course is reported two weeks aways, I'm stressing a little bit less -yet It doesn't mean I have less work, my only week of vacation will be dedicated to preparing my oral exams, so I cannot simply delay my work along.
I feel however that at this point it might be more productive to buy AMFCA and keep HTHIC for IRL practice. There are some points I'd like to practice which are definitely not available when the discussion turns around God or Veganism... Yet HTHIC seems more useful than AMFCA for the club I've created. I still don't really know.
