Again I didn't lose any weight this week, so I need to resign myself to the fact that I'm only going to achieve part of my goal next week. What is happening though, which is a good thing, is that I'm really enjoying going out for a walk at lunchtime and really wish I'd done this sooner. I'm making it a challenge to walk further and faster and I never thought I'd like this. Live and learn eh?
We didn't have a studio band rehearsal, gig at the weekend and we didn't go for any walks. I also went a bit mad on Friday night and Sunday afternoon when we went out for dinner and lunch with friends, respectively. What I should be doing on the drinking and eating front, I can't seem to grasp so I'm going to fail myself this week and I'm pretty sure I can't lose 4 pounds in 6 days so I have failed myself.
Results for the week:
1) Walking at Lunchtime: A, 2) Walk, Play Tennis, Gig other times: F, 3) Weight Loss: F. Therefore, I give myself the following Grade: D |

I'm going to start off by reporting that I didn't lose any weight this week - but, by the same token, I didn't gain any either, so, technically, I am making progress. I've been walking every day this week, not drinking too much alcohol and I made myself be the Designated Driver when we went to friends for dinner on Saturday night. The only issue I have is that I don't think I'm varying my diet enough - we have had salad for the past 3 nights, and, while Terry is the main shopper in the house, I don't have the heart to ask him to get something else. We'll see - I did drop a subtle hint this morning, so maybe we'll have something different tonight.
So here are the results for the week:
1) Walk at lunchtime: A+, 2) Walk, Play Tennis / Gig other times: C, 3) Weight Loss: C. Therefore, I give myself the following Grade:C+ |

All in all it's been a good week but I'm going to give myself a marginal pass, this week - I don't want the fact that I've put a pound on, this week, to discourage me, as I've achieved well in the activity areas of this commitment.
The fact remains that, as yet, I am still on track to get to my goal weight in 3 weeks' time. So, plenty of walking this week - but I did have a big weekend alcohol wise. On the plus side, I won the Family Golf Tournament, at the weekend, and I'm starting to take 'Brain Food' to help my memory. Walking at lunch-time is becoming a habit I want to keep, which is great news.
here is what I have scored myself:
1) Walk at lunch time: B, 2) Walk.Play Tennis/Gig: C, 3) Weight Loss: D. Therefore, I give myself the following Grade: C |

A good week! I have walked at lunch time when I can and at the weekend. I have also managed to keep my alcohol intake low - amazingly didn't have glass of wine with my sister when I met her for lunch yesterday. Being with my sister is a massive cue for me to have a drink, so this is a huge step forward. I've had a lot of water ( for me any way) and tracked my calorie and water intake. As a result, when I weighed myself this morning, I discovered I have lost 3 lbs in weight this week - which I am over the moon about!
So to the scores - which I'll grade like my Stop Wasting Money Commitment:
1) Walk at lunch time : Grade B, 2) Walk/Play Tennis/Gig: Grade C, 3) Weight Loss: A+. Therefore, I give myself the following Grade: B |
