Just barely made it. Week was chaotic. I have concluded that My heart flutters were likely the result of me getting sick rather than a side effect of my supplements, but taking a few days of did feel kinda nice. The downside is that the importance of those drugs to my weight loss success cannot be understated.
I also need to start cooking some more Slow Carb meals at home. Eating Mexican is delicious and has helped me stick to the diet, but it has also become a little expensive and the temptation to get something fried or on a tortilla is great, and I failed to resist that temptation a few times this week.
On the upside, I don't have serious or pervasive cravings for fast food or sweets anymore, which is most of the reason I got fat in the first place. When I get cravings, it's usually for things like a hearty beef stew with potatoes, Chinese food with rice, or just a normal club sandwich. All things that are not exactly healthy per se, but still far healthier and less fattening than what I was eating before. When I reach my desired weight, I imagine these are the foods I'll want to eat more of, rather than ice cream and burgers. There will be some fat/weight gain from this, but if I maintain a higher activity level, then I should be fine overall. |

Despite taking one extra cheat day that also involved heavy drinking, I made my goal weight and then some. This is the second time where I experienced weight loss of well over a pound in a single night after drinking a lot. What is going on here? I thought alcohol was supposed to make you gain weight, especially since all the booze I drank had sugar in it. Is it because I'm not a regular drinker? Or merely because I kept peeing so much? Was it really all just lost water weight?
Another thing: On Thursday, I started having minor but constant heart flutters at work that made me feel like I was constantly exercising or anxious about something. Almost positive this is due to the supplements I've been taking, although I'm not due to experience any real side effects for another month. To be safe, I'm going to take a week off from taking them. If I'm still losing a lot of weight in my week without them, then I may not even go back on them. |

My weight loss stalled unexpectedly for the first half of the week, and I was unsure if I was going to make my goal. I'm not sure what caused this, as I was eating the same meals and taking the same pills. But I wasn't peeing as much, so I must have been retaining a lot of water somehow. But after a night of drinking, which isn't even allowed on my diet, I proceeded to lose another pound an a half from urination alone, and then from there I resumed weight loss and my usual pace. |

Aside from temporarily regaining some weight during my one weekly cheat meal, weight loss following the Slow-Carb Diet and nightly cold exposure has worked like a charm. |
