Well, I quit smoking just now, 6:15 PM, Thursday, August 29 and I am scared. I thought I could just change my card so I wouldn't have to pay if I messed up, or even get Stickk to remove my commitment. But it sounds like they make that difficult by design. So here I am. I can't afford to buy cigarettes AND spend $10 a week if I slip up, so I have no choice but to not smoke. I had a pack with about six cigarettes left, and I threw it in the trash while I was walking around the park. I want to remember how I felt walking around the park. My chest hurt. I stopped every 40 yards or so to do extra exercises, and I did 32 pushups and about 30 squats before I finished the walk. It hurt. I will be so much happier and feel more energetic after a week or so off the cigarettes. It is also going to make my yoga practice more vital, help me with getting enough sleep, and just recharge me. I know I can do it because I did before. |
