In the previous commitment called, "How To Be A Copywriter In 30 days" (or something like that), the same source where I was inspired to read the advertising books also has a list of ads that he suggest I handcopy.
I must handcopy those 9 advertisements (assuming there's not one REALLY long one that's five pages long) by 8:00 AM.

Well- I have 13 fucking pages written. However, I CAN give this a "qualified yes" because of: 1) How full the pages are and 2) The fact that I went ahead and created another page of ad anyway. This is incredible--I know more about the freaking stock and bond business than 99% of people now. By doing this, too, I've learned at least 30 different things about copywriting and advertising that 99% of claim-to-be copywriters will ever know. This is fucking outstanding. This needs to be mandatory homework for all students in grade school. |

The first ad takes the studen an entire hour--and this GH-pupil already had some of it done! The second ad is AT LEAST three times as long, so dear lord, you can have three times as much fun doing this than the first one! So, because of the length, these advertisements will not be completely handwritten in four hours, so I'm rewriting the commitment to have NINE more pages written, starting with the advertisement linked below. I currently have five pages written of advertising copy, so the total will be fourteen pages written. There's so much learning that's stemming from this exercise. |
