LGaff1974 commits to:
Write at least 1000 words per week on Gus Book 2/3 material. I will spend at least 2 hours per week working on the editing of Book 2, continue researching publication, and continue to work on identifying my illustrator for Book 1. At the end of the 8 week period, my aim is to be finished with Draft 2 of Book 2 and to have found an illustrator and begun collaborating with them to finalize Book 1 and submit for publication -- notional goal for submission is April.

| Solid Gus week, got some great editing done, definitely feel like I'm making good strides on draft 2. More of the same for this week! Also going to continue to sketch out an allegory about letting go, as well as one about "familiarity breeds good will" that I have been tinkering with. | |

| Wrote about 1100 words working on Book Two edit. Made some good progress (thru Chapter 4)...slow but steady! Will continue to tweak-add-delete the final pieces while moving ahead with the draft 2 edit. | |

| Excellent Gus week - shared some Book Two ideas with a new friend/fellow writer and got some good feedback, had an awesome talk with an old friend/publisher on Book One, worked more on Book Two editing as well as reworking and refitting some of the "dangling" chapters for end of Book Two. This week -- work on publisher friend's input for Book One while pushing forward on finishing draft one, Book 2 | |

| Solid week on Gus -- just over 1000 words written, 4 sessions, lots of editing (I got thru about 3 chapters...quality over quantity, no need to rush), met with my prospective illustrator, had a great talk with a publisher friend who I sent Book One (potential business partner), and touched base with one of my TAPS kids who's a big Gus advocate. | |
