I was feeling frustrated last week with my lack of movement. A couple of my close colleagues are stuck in Sydney lock down and we were all expressing our frustration at our personal struggles with getting up and moving. So...we are actively encouraging/pushing each other to get back to it. When we have meetings through the week, they have been finishing with "I will catch up with you in 10 minutes. Go get some steps/stretching in". It really helped knowing I wasn't the only one struggling with this. |

It is a hard habit to set up, especially once you get stuck into work! Have you heard of the Pomodoro technique? It's a work method that apparently can improve efficiency and productivity as it encourages deep work for ~25 mins and then you allow yourself a 5 min refresh, rather than continual work which becomes less efficient as the day goes on. If interested you could give that a go? You can download apps or set a timer to help prompt the break and then use that 5 minutes for a bit of movement. Just a potential suggestion! |

I feel like this set of goals is getting more manageable the longer time goes on. The most difficult thing here now is more activity- I find myself getting sucked into tasks at work and all of a sudden 4 hours have disappeared and I haven't moved... |
