Long Live The Rose Feeling: Encouraged | Psalm 23 Song: The Rose That Grew From Concrete-Nikki Giovanni x Tupac Though your petals got a bit bent out of shape That doesn’t mean you can’t flex those scratches For the better Just because you’re a Rose that grew from concrete Doesn’t mean you have to stay grounded in those harsh conditions They may have tugged on your thorns They may have made you scared to bloom They may have tried to take control of your growth Yet You had the courage to breathe the fresh air You figured out what makes growing Worth it It’s about knowing you can Slip through the cracks Replant yourself Heal those marks And be the Rose you want to be The Rose you truly are |

Zoned Out One Feeling: Lost| Hebrews 12:2 Song: Focus x H.E.R What do you do when you’re riding in your car Cruising through life, with your foot on the pedal Following all the rules of the road When suddenly STOP You never learned how to drive completely Your daddy got sick while teaching you clearly You realize all those rules you once thought You had to follow had tiny fine print That you couldn’t read Or to afraid to get up and personal to read them Or thought if you asked for help You would be told you should know what you’re doing Everyone you know, knows how to drive So why not you too? Why did you take the backseat on driver’s ed? Were you not focusing? Focus On The Road Is that the problem- Can you not focus? You’ve driven before, why is it so hard to do it again? Why do you get afraid while breaking? You know that you’re breaking You’re the one that’s doing it You’re the one who controls the vehicle Why can’t you control yourself? FOCUS On The Road Do you believe in yourself Can you not FOCUS ON The Road Do you know what you’re doing ? Are you too stupid to FOCUS ON THE Road Do you know yourself? How can you know how to FOCUS ON THE ROAD Do you even- Focus on the- You’ve Crashed Time to really Focus On You. |

The Plucking Feeling: Realization Song: Changes x H.E.R What does it take to Love me What is the secret to that Spirit That type of spirit that makes you Love me not That type of high that gets you Mesmerized by my Eyes That type of essence that gets you Stuck in between My thighs It’s something about blooming To Me I know it's additive Because once you get a whiff Of this magic I possess It always brings you back For more You can’t just get rid of My love Until you cross my love lines Then I leave you hooked Line sinking inside Your own sea of demise. It's like you don't even notice how high that demise can get That type of hurt that makes you process regret Like am I watering too much or not enough? Stuck in a rut of embarrassment to think You could've been more than Just another rosebud. Yet I can't believe in all this healing I've done, It was me that needed to be plucked . Plucked in a way to remind myself That I am free A queen And should feel my dreams of love turn into reality without feeling like Damn a bitch is too clingy When all I want is to feel like a a wild rose being Gardened into a something Serene What If this rose of mine Leaves What if it finds a new Flower To cling to Like it once did to me What if I do the same And forget about How special our garden was What if this rose Never gets it Never understands why I Plunked from its stem When I was Just trying to show it What love feels like What if it does But now is left with No petals to shed No words to say The seasons change And everything changes |
