Weight loss since January 13th....248.5 until now, April, 9th at 219.4 for a total of 29.1 lbs. lost.

Finally, I made it to the 2-teens! That is 219.4 lbs. So I'm very encouraged by my progress even though I failed to reach my ultimate goal of 210 lbs. As I have stated on several entries, this process was more difficult than I originally anticipated. Although I've reached the end of the challenge time-wise, I will be pressing on to attain my ultimate weight goal of 195-200lbs.

For the first time since April 2nd, I've lost weight. This journey has been filled with fits and starts and disappointments. Today, though I'm encouraged as I came in at 223.7. It took a full day of fasting though to get there! I only have a week left until the time of this weight loss challenge ends on May 7th. There's no way that I'll attain my goal of 210 lbs. but I am going to keep pushing until I get there. Actually, my goal is sub 200 lbs. Hopefully, by the end of June, I'll get there. One thing is for sure, I am going to get there!

The question is: "how's the commitment going?"...The answer is, " the commitment is going fine. It's the weight loss that is hard." At the beginning of April, through 2 weeks of multi-day fasting, I managed to make it to 224.3. Since then, the trend has decidedly gone up. The problem is that I simply refused to continue with an unsustainable diet strategy. since April 2, I started following Tim Ferriss's "Slow Carb diet" outlined in his book, "The 4 Hour Body." I've tried to follow the guidelines as closely as possible including daily ice-cold showers, and a daily multi-supplement cocktail of Policosanol, green tea extract, alpha-lipoic acid, garlic extract and Cissus quadrangularis. And finally, 4 days a week of weight training and steady-state cardio. So, as the weight loss has temporarily stalled out, I've definitely been committed to the process. I am encouraged this week that as of today, I'm done 2 lbs less than I was a week ago. The first time in 3 weeks that that has happened.
