I keep getting excellent feature ideas (enable the user to color their creations; day and night cycle; show shadows of clouds on the surface). The thing is it doesn't consider the creation of the features. I.e. I could dogfood the process of creating the feature... I got better as I believed in it more. Using Toggl, a timer, a safe place, closed eyes helped. |

I got some interesting ideas. I'm not sure if I'm getting better. I don't know what's good or bad dogfooding. Just keep doing stuff. |

I tried it mentally and came up with a rotating axis idea where i then thought that might be too confusing. Also diverted to thoughts on WoW and Burning Crusade. I'm not sure if i got better. i dogfooded, but I went into tangential thoughts during the three minutes. Just keep doing it. |

Dogfooding helps. I can see exactly what I'd want to do. I just need to figure out how to make it happen. I think I got better... I'm just getting used to throwing myself in the environment and then seeing what I'd want to happen. I now need to figure out how to code it... I did get better... Actually letting my imagination go and trusting that good things will happen... esp. because my wants affect the imagined environment so much... |
